This white paper explores a common issue in power monitoring where current transformers (CTs) are incorrectly installed, leading to inaccurate measurements in power quality data. Such errors, like CTs being placed on the wrong phases or connected in reverse, can disrupt data accuracy and require time-consuming field adjustments. To address this, PMI introduces the “Phase Correction” feature, which allows users to logically correct misconnected CTs through software, rather than needing physical adjustments.
