Understand the three of most common Flicker definitions: IFL, Pst and Plt.


When most power consumers refer to flicker, it is usually in reference to an inconstant or wavering light.


A more precise definition of lamp flicker quoted from the IEC technical vocabulary is, “The impression of unsteadiness of visual sensation induced by a light stimulus whose luminance or spectral distribution fluctuated with time."
